Description

The aim of every Drama classroom is to assist students to become independent life long learners. Engaging students and challenging them to take ownership of their own learning in the key focus of this workshop.
Extended Non-verbal Communication Improvisation, Teachers will engage in a dynamic workshop for their students that aims to develop a systemic approach to fostering the Ensemble Classroom. An effective and enjoyable approach that encourages students to recognise and embrace their own strengths and celebrate those abilities with their classmates in an ensemble theatre learning environment.
This step-by-step workshop will support both developing and experienced teachers to guide students with a logical and practical way to more fully engage the students in our classrooms. The 9 step program will cover the setting up the ritual of respectful behaviour, understanding the students individual learning gifts and encouraging a creative collaborative working environment that forms the framework for the teaching of all current Drama Education content.
This workshop understands the real value of what can be achieved in a Drama classroom and aim to enhance both the teaching and learning experiences of all involved. A teacher will walkway with all the skills they need to take their students from great learners to independent critical thinkers with transferable skills.
